Those in charge are saying it very clearly: Things won't move forward until there's a vaccine. Then 70-90% of the world's population will have to be vaccinated.
They also tell us how long this will take in the best case scenario: 12-18 months from now!
How will I feel until then?
Do I still have a job?
How is the economy doing then?
If I don't have a job, will I ever find another one?
Will the social system still function then?
Will I still be able to get support?
My answer to that is clear: Nothing will ever be the same again, at least not in the foreseeable future.
It remains to be seen whether this crisis also offers opportunities. Will humanity transform itself into an ethical species?

At the moment there is nothing we can do but wait... but how long do we want to wait?
My company, an educational institution, had achieved great success with various forms of in-person instruction until Day X. Overnight, 90% of revenue plummeted, leaving me with no future prospects. After a brief period of shock, it became clear to me: if I don't do anything now, my company will inevitably go bankrupt.
I pulled myself together and digitized everything I'd accumulated and practiced so far, and I developed ideas. I had to spend money, but it was worth it because things are steadily improving again.
